Clayface is low budget horror, which looks prescient in a world where Obsession and Backrooms are running shit. They got a scene in that movie where he has to cut open his eyelids on a plane.....with turbulence......Bruh lol. Gunn going back to his Body Horror roots with that one.

Sony owns Spidey's film rights, the MCU basically exists BECAUSE they didn't have Spider-Man film rights. Batman has no legal fight, just one director trying to give another director room to work. Weird comparison.

Reeves Batman is a street-level detective mystery. That's the whole point. You're not supposed to make Justice League stories around that version of Batman.

Can you imagine trying to do.....the full Hush storyline with Reeves Batman? With Poison Ivy mind-controlling Superman and all that? Nah. Robert Pattinson raising Damien Wayne? Nah. Bat-Family? Nah. Ra's Al Ghul resurrecting niggas with the Lazarus Pit? Nah.

That's what you're laying the groundwork for.....a Batman with a Bat-Family that regularly whoops Metahuman ass.

Teen Titans would've been a good starting point because Robin is ALWAYS the realest nigga in the squad and the aura of "who trained this fuckin guy" is always there when he flexes on niggas. You would be introducing Batman without showing him. And considering Brave and the Bold is supposed to be about Damien Wayne, you NEED to introduce a previous Robin. Like.......Chris O'Donnell is still the only live action Robin we've ever gotten. That's nuts. And no that corny ass policeman from Dark Knight Rises doesnt count lol
I've long said if you build the cinematic universe around Dick Grayson..... You can go in unlimited directions. He's more of the center if DC comics then bats is imo.

They introduced so many characters thru teen titans and his journey as Nightwing.

James Gunn could 100% do what he did with guardians with the teen titans

This should have never happened. Gunn should have just bit the bullet and grabbed back up Wonder Woman as the follow up to Superman. I dont think the audience would have cared that we saw a different WW film 6 years ago. Or flip Lanterns into a movie instead of an HBO show.

Supergirl should have never been the immediate follow-up film in this universe. I would go as far as saying they should have just canceled The Flash film, start from scratch and planned it as the 2nd film after Superman.

Exactly.

They should’ve gone with Titans and played it just like the cartoon did, having Batman’s presence in the universe without having him there physically.

Making Robin super badass, would build even more anticipation for Batman than usual - if Robin is really like that, imagine his teacher! 😳🤯

Could get a couple films out of it before Batman appearing in the universe. Gives Pattinson time to cook and DC time to figure shit out.

Ill catch it on hbo max. Trailers looked promising. Audience says its not as bad as critics make it out to be, but its definitely not a great addition to the universe. Supergirl coming out after superman was a crazy move. Man of tomorrow better be absolute fire or James Gunn has completely fucked up

I think James Gunn has fucked up. Gunn's DCU is 0 for 2 in my book.

I'm admittedly biased. Marvel had some trash ones but they did start off stronger than DC. This isn't as bad as IM3, Thor2, Thor4, and a few others IMO

People are writing Gunn's DC off already. I want to give it some more time

Making Krem and the Brigand child sex traffickers was something new for the movie. In the comic, they're just going planet to planet killing populations of inhabitants at will.

Numbers don't lie:

Supergirl (2026) struggled in its global opening weekend, grossing an estimated $68 million worldwide, including $38 million domestically in the United States and Canada. The film landed in second place at the box office behind Toy Story 5. [1, 2, 3]

Key Box Office Figures
  • Domestic Opening: $38 million
  • International Opening: $30 million
  • Global Opening: $68 million
  • Estimated Budget: $170–$186 million [2, 3, 4, 5, 6]
Performance and Reactions
With an estimated production budget between $170 million and $186 million, the film's debut has fallen well short of the financial targets needed for a theatrical profit. The opening weekend figures track similarly to other lower-performing comic book adaptations like The Marvels and Joker: Folie à Deux. [3, 5, 7]
The film's debut has generated mixed reviews, currently holding a 56% critic score on Rotten Tomatoes . Despite the rocky start at the box office, DC Studios co-CEO Peter Safran stated he remains confident in their broader, long-term DC Universe strategy. [3]

Glad this thing flopped.

They would've been better off having the actress from the CW show play the role.

The studios need to stop catering to this feminist......non-sexualized........fight the patriarchy agenda and at least give these women some kind of sex appeal.

The previews made her look like a bum.

Nobody wants to see that.

The women aren't even checking for it.
