What exactly did he whine about?

Da fuck? Come one man. It ain't like he refusing to throw away his empty juice box. Dude is a whole ass prince and took his assignment seriously from day one. As a prince and as some one who understands that the kingdom dies with the queen, he definitely made the right call and he knew the stakes.
 
In the books, the Dragonseeds helped at the battle of the Gullet. But the show kept them niggas on the ground, talking shit, waiting for Rhaenyra and getting bewitched. I'm interested to see how/when they have their first battle on the show.

Yeah thatā€™s one of the more interesting storylines for me. The reluctant son slowly developing an appreciation for his absent father. The absent father trying to finally do right by the son he abandoned. And each actor is doing great at those roles.

I was really feeling when his son saw Sea Snake get pushed over and he rushed in to fight olā€™ girl. Something sparked in him when he saw that.

And when he saw Sea Snake get distracted by his castle burning he stepped up to take charge with no judgement.
