I think its a massive red flag if the Thunder are shopping or willing to trade Dub....they're only getting rid of him if he's damaged goods

I think he's good but not good enough to be a legit number one option on a competitive team

Like Im sure he can go put up numbers and score on a bad team but I don't see him driving winning like that and would probably have you as a playin team at best
I can kinda understand why you would look at it that way, but I don’t necessarily think it’s a red flag. They might look at it as they have his replacement already on the roster for cheaper in Ajay and it is gonna be more difficult to replace (even with all his flaws) Chet that cheaper and well

Based on that tweet it said for draft capital.....I dont see them trading their second best player simply for draft capital and salary relief if he's actually healthy when OKC is still in win now mode

I get why Pelicans will make a trade for Brown. Hes a finals MVP in the prime of his career.

This dont add a guaranteed playoff spot or anything, especially out west, but for a compotent front office this could be the start of a hand full of moves over 2-3 years to change culture and make your team respectable.

I don't have any faith the Pelicans are a compotent franchise though.

Oh damn. I didn’t read the actual trade. 🤣

I was speaking in general terms.

The way OKC is currently constructed.....they're very deep and talented but the ecosystem is a bit fragile and like I was saying if Dub isn't going to be the second scoring option that changes everything

He's also they're best 2 way player and one of the few players with real positional size and malleability......its not a coincidence that the other two are Shai and Chet....everyone else is pretty much undersized for their position which I think is important to consider. Dub has been everything from the primary ball handler when Shais off to playing center

If he’s cooked and can't be that....that foundationally changes everything and should look to move him but you have find a replacement second option........even if you're a massive Ajay Mitchell fan I dont think he's quite ready for that role

Mitchell isn’t as good of a defender, but he can get buckets just as good as Dub.

I don’t think OKC should do anything too crazy this offseason. If anything they should maybe more Dort, Joe, and maybe Wiggins to free up cash or maybe package those picks to move up and grab one player.

They did great this season while battling injuries. I don’t think they should do anything too crazy with the roster.
