Anybody in here ever ran for councilman in your city?

I thought about it back in Vegas and genuinely looked into running for a seat on the Paradise Town Advisory Board when we lived over that way. Purely a power grab and I prolly would have been a very corrupt member of the TAB so it's prolly better I didn't.

(Fun fact: Most of what people think of when you say "Las Vegas", technically isn't Vegas. It's Las Vegas proper along with Winchester (where part of the northernmost area of The Strip is located), Whitney, Summerlin, Enterprise, Sunrise Manor, Paradise (where the southern part of The Strip is located), Enterprise, and Spring Valley and each has their own TAB that reports to the county.)

Naw. When people do things they hate, they dont put in effort. You let mistakes slip by cause you don't care

That's exactly what my homeboy was saying to me.

But I'm not going to walk into a job I know imma hate for the greater good. I value my personal peace, and I have no faith that one person can make a change. I'll likely make a lotta enemies and feel unfulfilled with efforts gaining no traction.

And this. When I don't like something, my effort is way down. I would get irritated having to dress like a politician every day
 
My boy ran for MP (member of parliament) in his riding north of Toronto a few years ago for the NDP. He lost tho.

You said it yourself in that war thread about how people would be looking to you for guidance if some kind of invasion ever happened.
