Nas is great and I love Nas but there is an obvious difference of energy between when he does things and when Jay does things….and this is why Jay is really the GOAT; the world stops for him EVERY time. If it’s a freestyle or verse, every verse is dissected and discussed like people actually care about rap. Which is ironic seeing that Nas is considered the better overall lyricist.

Didnt all this start after Jay became Mr Beyonce? And Jay literally has a giant corporate machine behind him(that he controls) making sure a certain image of him is always curated to the public.

Jay Z has never been “Mr Beyoncé”. He was who he was before her, helped rebrand her and became even more who he was after he got married to her.


Jay is almost 60. No rapper before him at his age commands the attention that he can still garner. You ever YouTube one of those hip hop reunion tour shows? That’s technically where Jay would be if he didn’t evolve.
