You can’t force an entire generation to give a fuck about actual rapping when they’ve been thriving off vibes since they grew up. Kids that were born in 2016 turn 10 this year. All they’ve heard creatively from mainstream rap has been bullshit and if they aspire to be rappers, their influences will have been bullshit so their art will reflect that.


It ain’t no going backwards from this. Real rap will always exist but less and less people will care unless somehow someway, lyricism and saying something becomes popular profitable.

Could have said that last year too. We was watching 2 1/2 40 year olds battle

And sprinkle in Rick Ross, Rocky, and Pusha T age we was watching old ass men beef/gossip over dope beats.

Now Hov, K. West, Nicki, and Oscino might be talking greasy over records

But we’re the old heads fam. It’s a lot of young talent out here we just ain’t checking for them.

The young talent that is out there is not being promoted or pushed to the forefront so it doesn’t matter

When I was coaching youth football they played some music I didn’t know who the fuck that was besides YB.

But they are out there
