Breaking News US and Israel War Against Iran

The United States and Iran have sent conflicting signals about what it would take to reach a deal to end the war. But amid competing demands from both sides, Tehran has not wavered from one condition: getting access to billions of its own money now frozen in foreign banks.

President Trump on Wednesday warned the Gulf state of Oman, a U.S. ally, not to enter into any agreement with Iran to share control of the Strait of Hormuz or else face an American bombing campaign. Quickly after making the threat, Mr. Trump said he didn’t believe the United States would have to take such an action.

Oman will behave just like everybody else, or we’ll have to blow them up,” he said during a cabinet meeting, responding to a reporter’s question about the strait. “They understand that. They”ll be fine.”

Wow

The social media post by President Trump made it sound straightforward. The United States would orchestrate a deal to end the war with Iran and, in exchange, a slew of countries across the Middle East and South Asia would join an agreement, called the Abraham Accords, establishing relations with Israel.

In fact, he said, that “should be mandatory.” But half of the countries he named — such as Egypt, Jordan and Turkey — already have relations with Israel. And the other half — including Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Pakistan — have no interest in establishing them anytime soon.

As a result, the meandering ultimatum that Mr. Trump shared on Monday was met with a mix of silence and bemusement across the Middle East. Regional analysts said they were not even sure that they understood the rationale behind his proposal. Why would ending the war, which the United States and Israel initiated by bombing Iran on Feb. 28, provide an incentive to recognize Israel for countries like Qatar, which had lobbied desperately to prevent the war in the first place?

“It’s just bizarre,” said Yoel Guzansky, a senior fellow at the Institute for National Security Studies at Tel Aviv University in Israel. “What’s the connection between a deal with Iran and that? I’m honestly puzzled.”

Iran fired a ballistic missile toward Kuwait early on Thursday, the U.S. military said, as an overnight exchange of attacks dimmed hopes that an agreement to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and end the war would be signed soon.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps said it had targeted a U.S. base in retaliation for American strikes on southern Iran, the second round of attacks this week. According to the U.S. Central Command, Kuwaiti forces intercepted the Iranian missile. The United States has five military bases in Kuwait, which accused Iran of launching an attack.

Oil prices, after falling last week, climbed on Monday as investors weighed a renewed exchange of military strikes between the United States and Iran against indications that both sides remain engaged in negotiations aimed at securing a lasting peace agreement.

Stocks were mixed, pulled higher in East Asia by the continued surge in interest in artificial intelligence, and lower in Europe.

The United States said on Sunday that it had attacked military targets in southern Iran over the weekend, the latest in a series of attacks over the past week.

Less than an hour later, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps said that its forces had targeted a military base from which it said an American attack on a communications facility in southern Iran had originated.

Iran just said no more talks.

America either gonna have to give them everything they want and force Israel out of Lebanon or invade.

Crazy it came to this.

Every decade since Vietnam something happens to show that US military dominance is overrated.

This decade it was Iran
