UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson fatally shot outside of Hilton hotel in Midtown in possible targeted attack

  • Luigi Mangione will not face a possible death penalty sentence in the New York federal criminal case where he is charged with killing health insurance CEO Brian Thompson, a judge ruled Friday.
  • Manhattan U.S. District Court Judge Margaret Garnett dismissed two of the four criminal counts Mangione faced in the case.
  • The potential maximum sentence for the remaining two counts for causing Thompson’s death under federal stalking laws is “life in prison without parole,” Garnett noted.

Whoever gets this guys movie rights has an automatic slap on their hands. You'd have to be m.night shamalamalalan to fuck that up.

Crazy system. I can't imagine living somewhere there's no free healthcare and I gotta deal with bad faith insurance companies or be priced out of care or sent into debt if I get injured, get sick or need surgery.

What happens when women have children do they have to pay for that?

My girl and I lucked out when she had our son. She worked for an ambulance company at the time so her insurance there was really good. We didn't pay a dime.

Glad that worked out for yall.

Only thing we need health insurance here for is medication and dental. They recently switched things up here and gave everyone dental coverage. Children and people over 65 are now free. People 18-65 get coverage up to 100% based off income.

If trump didn't pop his shit on Canadians our government would be maga adjacent right now. They were front running till he said that 51st state shit and Trump having already endorsed the leader of the conservative party and him not denouncing trump for saying it made them look crazy in the light and flipped everything on it's head.

Its so crazy, if I worked in the States the first thing I would look for was health insurance, more so than the actual salary...

The thought that in a 1st world country, a person has to choose whether to get cancer treatment and bankrupt their family or die is insane... Especially as 1 in 2 people get cancer in their lifetime... Plus all the health issues we have to deal with...

Big Pharma is disgusting, its on another level in the States though...

Don't you pay higher taxes to make it "free"?
