yea that lil nigga tripping

my son is almost 5, been cutting his hair since he was 2. he was scared the first few times but mostly by the sound of the clippers.

I just put on paw patrol or some bullshit in the beginning, helped take his focus off his fear

Dude’s like this don’t understand where a child is developmentally at that age. They think they should be tough and not show emotion already.

I was guilty of this at times as my son was growing up, but had much more restraint than this dude.

Told them to “sit down and don’t move”

That’s literally it lolololol

I use to cut my son hair at home until I felt he was old enough to get a line up.

When I took him to the barbershop for the first time, I let him watch me get a cut first before he got in the chair.

Sit down and be still. My youngest is autistic and gets sensory overload sometimes from the sound of the clippers but even he knows to be still.

Yeah, if I was the barber, I legit might've told that nigga he wasn't welcome in my shop anymore.
Yeah that nigga failed at his job of being a parent in that moment.

As for the question itself my oldest has never had a haircut in his life, he's 9, and his hair has been in locs the past 4 years. Only ever shape ups and he was excited to go his 1st time and loves going to my barber. My youngest is too young so idk how he's gonna react.

My son cried but he was mad he had to leave the play area to get his haircut but he was chill once he talked to the barber and the barber gave him a balloon and sucked after.

My son used to come to the barber shop all the time, so he was hyped as shit his first time in the chair... The way he ran up to the chair had everybody laughing...
. That's why I took the pic... It was a dope moment.

He loves going to the barber shop

My sister that's a barber told me, when possible just let kids hair grow out until they are old enough to express how they feel

Her worst experiences have been cutting children's hair for the first time
