^^^ Cause this is the kind of shit I see that makes me want one.

BUT...

The old 200-series Volvo's are also worth a look.

those are clean....

but you can do a Volvo and not a VW?

Those Volvo's are dope. Couldn't see it when they were new, but the shit these dudes been doing with them for some years now has really raised my eyebrow. Plus, I used to own a Volvo 850 GLT and I fuckin loved that car.

I posted this pic of it back on The IC.

89 Jeep Cherokee with a rough idle. It fixes itself and then goes right back to a rough idle.

Replaced TPS, MAF, Spark Plugs & wires and Distributor.

Only thing left is the Crank position sensor and fuel system…

Before I get up under this damn thing what else should I check?

OBD-I system.

Replace the up and downstream O2 sensors. There's a very high probability that one or both are bad and causing all of this shit.

(edit) this still means getting under it.

Man… it was a gotdamn IAC sensor!!!

Ffffuuuuuuck!

I didn’t know that existed!

Had to replace it on my Escape back in early 2025. Mine going bad made the engine idle high as shit randomly, but especially first thing in the morning. Thankfully it was just two bolts and a hose on top of everything. Easy as shit to get to and only took about 10 minutes to replace it in the dead of winter in near zero temps.

That’s exactly what it was doing.

Idle low, then ramp up then die back down.
