OPINION What are your thoughts about designer brands now China has ruined the allure

So I was talking to one of my sisters today and I was complaining about how much I was in pain after my workout today, but specifically my ankles. I typically wear Brooks running shoes but I've been in this pair just too long and my ankles are paying for it since I haven't lost enough weight to keep it from happening. Anywho I was tellin her I'mma cop some more when the Rez check comes in a coupla weeks and she was telling me about how this whole thing with the Chinese and how the "knockoff" shits is usually the same as name brand joints, but without the logos. She then went on to put me on to some running shoes she bought for $15 on Amazon and how fuckin' amazing they are, how her feet have never felt better, and how comfortable they are. I checked 'em out, looked at the reviews, and ordered a pair. They'll be here Monday. I'mma see how they hold up when I jog around the neighborhood, wear 'em at the gym, and use 'em on the trails next weekend. At worst, I'm out $20, I'll fuck that off and won't remember where it went so no biggie.

Brooks? You gotta stop aging yourself. I didn't even know they made those shits anymore.

From brooks to Amazon China kicks is diabolical. Can't go the cheap route on everything. Kneezus coming for you.

A pretty good percentage of the folks that go to my gym or that I see out on the trails out here are in Brooks, Hoka, ASICs, or On Cloud. Besides, at this point in life I go for function over caring about what the yutes are rockin' and since Avia is now relegated to being sold in Walmart without even a box, I'm in Brooks.

I'm still gonna cop another pair of Brooks or maybe I might try out those On Cloud runners (a couple of my peoples swear by them), but these Chinaman joints are a stop-gap until then 'cause these bills kickin my ass this month.

You know damn well you the only one in your gym rocking brooks. I'd go with the hoka, asics or clouds when you get right brokie.

Bruh, folks out here wear Brooks. I see them shits ALL the time. Y'all might not out there in Toronto, but they get worn here by folks into running and fitness in general.
