DC Studios has kinda been all over the place. Maybe that's by design cause I don't see a coherent plan
Yeah they announced the "Gods and Monsters" plan aka their phase one, but so far not a lot has been released from it. They announced superman, supergirl, creature commandos and a couple other things, but all we got is superman so far and supergirl soon. They havent given us anything with the rest of the justice league though or even a concrete plan or timeline when they will appear. I know they announced a Themyscria show but no Wonder Woman. Lanterns, but no full time green lantern. Brave and the Bold is announced but who knows when that will ever be released. Authority has already been canceled. We got a superman sequel before an announcement for any other J League character. Hopefully we will get introduced to the others in the Superman sequel or at least one other character to look forward to. Doubt Batman will appear in clayface lol.

They bout to be the DC cinematic universe with no Batman. But at least we have a Bane that busts his gun when Wonder Woman has to convince Supes that every team needs a no morals, unhinged Bane ass nigga

Chi fucks with that
Fuck Bane, I was talking about Deathstroke.

I figure they tryna capitalize off of the success of the Penguin show... but are missing the fact that one of the reasons it was successful was because it was a SHOW/SERIES
Nah. It’s Clayface. They’re banking on its success in a way the first Joker film was a huge success.

They won’t be able to recapture the first joker movie for a multitude of reasons
I don’t think they plan to or even want to. That’s an unrealistic bar to set. A movie can be successful without eclipsing a predecessor.

Also, Endgame made damn near a billion more than Infinity War and Infinity War was the better film. Success is measured differently.

No I’m not saying it has to eclipse it and I’m not even talking about box office either

I’m really talking hype

That depends on the person. I wasn’t hyped for it and barely remember any hype around it. I only remember some people comparing the portrayal to the Heath’s which was
grossly misplaced.

I can’t speak to the likelihood, but I can totally see a Clayface movie getting recognition if done well. The story is there. They just need to execute.

I’m really speaking overall in the culture

Joker was HUGE

But it don’t need to match it

If anything I don’t even remember why I started talking about this lol

Lol

Agree to disagree. When we say, “culture” what “culture” are we talking about, because it wasn’t in essence a comic book movie. It just had names of comic book characters residing within it. That’s why I can’t say it had comic book culture significance.

The “culture” wanted a Heath Joker prequel 🔥

Not to be headass but I mean cultural zeitgeist

The movie made a Billie, it was all over social media, it was everywhere, in people’s heads and the word of mouth was crazy

I feel if you’re checking for it, there will always be hype - the Jordan 1 Banned lows were hyped by MANY and there they are, sitting.

Something being all over social media doesn’t mean much, especially when anything goes viral. I feel if anything, it pushed conversations about mental health

Yes, it made a billion, but that doesn’t mean people actually liked it. In fact, I would argue majority were let down by the film from a comic book film perspective. Iron Man’s worst box office film is the best.

I may not have enjoyed the movie, but I don’t have a bias against it. We live in different parts of the country/world and that can influence how we see things. You remember hype. I remember disappointment. Both can be true depending on the person.

If it’s written well, it can be better than Joker in many capacities.

I’ll say this…

Joker movie was big trash! 🤣

Penguin show >
🤷🏾‍♂️
