He dont need Nas to take care of him, no. Hes had a solid career and did most of it on his own. Always had tjat friendship with nas, but did his own thing and hasn't been no where near as successful, but the dude definitely ain't been starving either. It's still dope to see Nas offer his platform to AZ to release this album though. Otherwise itd just be another indie release from AZ that might be critically praised but not make much of an impact. Through mass appeal he has the potential to get a lot more ears to this album and maybe even a lot of new ears who will then become fans and go check out the rest of his albums and probably get a good tour out of this album.
 
You guys took it to a whole new level. Let's talk like that okay. If AZ had been signed to Nas from the start he wouldn't have had the same career as Cormega. He's like Method Man, had a lot of potential but not the right people around him.

People say Life's a bitch is the best verse of all time but where are his Illmatic, It Was Written, I am, Stillmatic, Lost Tapes?

Nas would have helped him out if he had played his cards right.

song w/ Nas was my favorite the rest was mostly forgettable




really didn't like sum of the production, AZ was spittin tho as usual
 
Listened to the album couple times now, its dope and sounds like mature hip hop... AZ still got his signature butter flow too and doesnt sound washed at all...

Made me think Method Man's current flow and style would pair dope with AZ...
