Amazon Invincible (Season 4)

Added to Calendar: 02-06-25, 03-18-26

Even though I was looking for a fight, this was the best logical conclusion to the season.

And someone asked why the Viltrumites weren’t detected, it was because they had already been there for a minute. The detection system only detects their mother ship.

I would have thought Mark would have to run that decision by the council and Cecil, but probably better to let that shit fall under the radar. The council and Cecil definitely wouldn’t have gone for that or would have fucked it up with an underhanded plot to take out the Viltrumites later.

I wonder if those Viltrumites would protect Earth if there was a threat strong enough to destroy Earth since it’s their only option to rebuild their civilization.

They can teleport, open dimensions, and all kinds of shit but can't detect the Viltrumites bodies coming into orbit?

In the show the humans are the best option to breed so logic would be that humans are extremely special to their survival so they should be under protection. Comics may have others

I can't wait to see the reactions from literally everyone when they find out Mark brokered a peace deal with them allowing them to increase their numbers lol

I think the Viltrumites arrived before they did. That’s why the detection system didn’t pick them up. And the detection system would only pickup their ship anyway, not their physical bodies.

But yeah when Mark tells them about the deal I’m sure that’s not going to go over well.

Yea I initially thought those visions were just Mark not being able to cope with Earth being attacked and the show was just displaying Mark coming to reality that everyone is dead

I'm torn.

Mark is probably the realest superhero out there with how he reacts to things. He's definitely way realer than any anime protagonist. That said, he kinda annoys me. I like him as a character and respect what they did with him, but he's too damn powerful to suffer through PTSD for an entire episode. My feelings probably come from watching too much anime though. Decades of watching Goku, Naruto, Ichigo, etc... go through the craziest trauma and shake it off makes it weird to see Mark react like this. I mean Gohan grew seeing loved ones get merked and he grew up to be a well adjusted goofball. lol

The treatment of Nolan tripped me out too. He got treated like shit and rightfully so. But again, years of watching anime where mass murdering villains get instantly accepted into the hero club really messed with my mind. He legit turned his life around and is on everyone's shitlist. Meanwhile, Vegeta after becoming a family man and joining the heroes, murdered dozens of people just to get a fade with Goku, and never faced any repercussions outside of hatred from Tien. lol

"One of the downsides of Invincible is Cory Walker and I were like 23 and 21 when we started that book, and your default when you’re not really paying attention is yourself," Kirkman said. "Every time we introduce another character, 'Oh look! It’s another white male! Who knew?' It’s just a shortcoming that we hadn’t quite noticed and done our due diligence to correct."

After seeing what Thragg did, PTSD is most realest thing he could have
