It’s hard for me to even get my mind to compare them. I’ve never heard a ALC beat that sounded like what Quik makes, and I’ve never heard a Quik beat that sounds like what ALC makes.

Feels like it would be like having a Dame Grease against Timbaland typa competition. They are way too different for me to say who’s better.

But as far as official releases from them as an artist. Balance and Options is way better than anything I ever heard from ALC

Balance and Options is in my top ten of hip hop albums of all time. But ALC is a top ten producer as well, so

Well see that's the thing, if we're talking as an actual solo artist its not even close, Quik was the greatest total package producer/rapper/singer we had until Kanye showed up. Alan's little Kool G Rap impersonation raps are just a side project hobby. Oh No carries him whenever they do Gangrene.

lol Justify My Thug was trash and that's the last thing i relevant thing I remember Quik producing. Fam, that was almost 23 years ago....................

I just voted based on who I’ve listened to more in recent years… like the last 10. Because Quik’s recent output has been less than desirable.

And I’ll say the Alchemist is headed where Quik is right now in his career....although Quik has produced some dope tracks here and there in recent year

Still, the ALC's production is becoming stale, boring, predictable, and redundant, even with that, I’ll still be more than likely to be interested in what ALC has to offer this day in age

As a musician, it's Quik, hands down. Mans is a whole Hip Hop version of Shuggie Otis and Prince.

HOWEVER...

Alchemist is nice as fuck with the beats and arguably a better MC than Quik.

I honestly can't vote for one over the other 'cause they both appeal to different sides of me as a producer.
