Why STUPID People Are a Greater Threat to Society Than Criminals

Yes stupid people are more dangerous. And with social media, we’ve placed the stupid above the expert. That’s the most dangerous thing that’s happened in recent history.

There was a time when the stupid were ridiculed and shamed. Now they get validation and the promulgation of stupidity is faster and more engrained then ever.

Every time something major happens, people run to the Internet for answers..

The experts always say we need time to determine what really happened.

But that's not good enough for people who need instant validation. So people start spreading ignorance immediately, and it gets so loud, that by the time the real answers come out... No one cares anymore.

And when the experts correct prior guidance those same people claim it as a reason to not trust the experts.

Experts have to be right every time and the internet only has to be right once, if at all.

I'm depressed with how much we're looking like that film. I truly believed we would never get close to that but we are in a full sprint towards it.

I still think Wall E is overkill and we will never look like that.

The average American is much fatter than 30 or 40 years ago and its only getting worse.
The average person on this planet spends ungodly amounts of time addicted to staring at a tiny screen.
We are getting dumber, fatter, and oblivious to our surroundings at a pretty terrifying rate.
And we're building AI and robots that will, one day, do exactly Wall-E's job.

We're well on our way.

Except we have ozempic. At the least, people will artificially look attractive. I can't see us just accepting the 600lb life. They were all happily lard in Wall E.
