They've always been "underground".

The only reason to ever sign with them was access to Jedi Mind Tricks producer - Stoupe the Enemy of Mankind.

Canibus - Rip the Jacker album is their greatest thing in their catalogue. Why? Because Stoupe the Enemy of Mankind did all the beats and that man was an absolute DEMON behind the boards. Its one of the best produced albums ever imho......Canibus literally just sent dude acapellas while his smartdumb ass was still in the army lol and this madman built these gorgeous beats around the vocals.

Nowdays tho? Stoupe basically retired 15 years ago....came back after a few but the beats were never the same





Like...........eh.

All the snippets and leaks we heard from other producers went way harder than these tracks.

So my guess is Stove got wowed by the advance money and didn't realize his production budget was gonna be Dollar Tree. Clearing a Marvin Gaye sample? Negro please 😭
