the battle itself was fun. the songs were quick and entertaining...the dialogue behind it is what killed the vibe. it wasn't even about picking sides, but that's the narrative people started running with and it just got very old very quickly.

Negativity bias is nothing new though. Hip hop is a sport and like in all sports people are more intrigued and tuned in when theres extra animosity involved

Thats why every story be it a novel film or series, shit even every other news article builds on conflict and tension, cause otherwise who cares. Thats just human nature
