Depends who you are and how you approached them. The corny lines might get the woman to laugh and that's all you need to get in the door sometimes.

know what’s kinda wild to me is being a guy and having your pic as your profile often invites fake women and bots to your DM hitting on you. And that’s a man, where it’s already questionable. So, women’s DM’s gotta be full of bots, scammers, simps, celebs, ballers, tricks and all kinds of foolishness. What could you possibly say to cut through all that? If I hit a baddies DM and she engaged, I’d automatically think she’s setting me up.
