The mother should never allow him to come back home if the father not there as well. Even if you at odds with your mother, you should still have a level of respect for her. Clearly he does not, and I would go far to say that he might end up harming her.
 
Again.. This why father's and sons need to do some kinda training together. They need to know with full certainty that they will get packed up if they step outta line.
 
Also, that could just be a filter. There's filters nowadays that simulate getting beat up. Maybe lil nigga had a moment of clarity and wants to go home and faking like he gettin' abused is the way he figures will get him there.
