I'm not sure how anyone thinks the Lakers' moves give them a shot this year. They are in rebuilding mode. It might bear fruit in the future. Right now though, they have Lebron, Luka who basically plays the exact same as Lebron at this point, a new center, and a bunch of other players that already were up and down in the Lebron system.

I already know you're going to shit on this idea but a few days ago I was listening to Nate Duncan's pod and he said if he was the Spurs he would've rather traded for Lamelo than Fox

He admitted it's would be an unpopular or controversial opinion....he himself isn't a Lamelo fan but for this Spurs team specifically he though Lamelo made more sense......I think he made a pretty good case and laid it out even while acknowledging the injury history

I know his time in Charlotte is up but someone is going to take a swing on him....has to be a franchise with structure and a culture of winning though

Well here’s the funny thing

I did imagine the spurs as a team that could help develop lamelo and start building good habits with him

BUT I would also at the same time hate lamelo on the spurs as the flipside is I think his bad habits would negatively affect the team

It might be a catch 22 or oxymoron or something

But I do see both sides

At this point just go to the bulls or something
 
Draymond and Jimmy Butler won’t be a good mix.

When you rest in a specific kind of identity, you reluctantly give up other things you can be seen really good at. And you make that thing your whole personality.

Then when someone comes with the same identity and does it more skillfully than you and to an extent can receive more praise for it than you. Jealousy will become an issue.

And Jimmy seems like the type that will pick at a scab for the fuck of it.
