One reason people think foundational black Americans is a group or club is
because they call themselves FBA’s.
One reason people think Tariq Nasheed is their “leader” is because he coined the term Foundational Black American.
My family is from the south (no foreigners or immigrants in my background) so by definition, I’m a “foundational black American”, but I would never call myself an FBA.
That just sounds corny to me.
And I don’t call people “tethers” because I don’t talk like that.
Never used that lingo before, so why start now?
