I'm glad they had Lasher age very quickly in the first episode but I can't stand shows/movies where the kid is insufferable and the parents don't do shit. Just a pet peeve

For some reason it was weird she still named him Lasher. I know he is Lasher but I would have assumed she'd name him something else considering she had sex with Lasher and all of the history

They didn't really explain a lot and I'm guessing the show will continue to be more targeted to people that read the books because I was lost again and had to watch the 'inside the episode' at the end to understand

So they once against again made up a character. Moira is supposed to be Mona but since they changed some things about the character they decided to name her something else. Didn't read the books so I don't really care but it's annoying how showrunners just love to change things to have their own vision when the source material is the reason for the show but I digress lol
 
Yeah, you gotta watch this with a fresh open mind.

This episode was a bigger middle finger to the book readers than the entire first season.


I'm completely in the dark, I have no idea where this is going. I'm enjoying it though. So whatever. 🤷🏿‍♂️

Damn it was that much of a change?

My issue seems to always be I just don't understand what's going on and need the extra explanation in the 'inside the episode'

Yeah, I just took it as they presented it ..I had no idea whre the fuck they were going
 
lasher 100% did kill a bunch of cousins trying to birth another like him

Moira is mona, but Tessa was also Mona... They butchered Mona character.... So it's whatever.

Basically lasher is a Taltos....they grow to adulthood moments after birthday not weeks .. Literally moments. And they normally kill the mother's..

Rowan birthed Lasher..

Mona eventually birthed another .. But I don't know if they'll go with that.... But in the books that's where Lestat comes in. Mona was dying after birthing her Taltos and nothing could save her....enter Lestat

Wait so they separated this Mona character into 2 characters? Why? That seems really weird

Wonder if Lestat saves Moira then and they keep whatever scene that is?
 
Tessa and Moria are both Mona....

Mona was a ridiculous character, and she was like 12... This was a good age up as well, and they completely ditched her promiscuous side

Made no sense. Why killed her after having sex with him?

Lmao at not seeing each other in 3 years and dude flew in to give her the data. And he's supposed to be a love interest for her? Red flags like crazy

Inside the episode said the women hemorrhage after having sex with him

So the vampire didn't attack him because he smelled differently?

Ohhhh he was the guy who had a couple seconds scene in interview with the vampire


They're still doing a horrible job of telling the story and explaining whatever the hell is happening if you never read the Mayfair books. Like even if they're going away from the books it's still confusing as hell to me as to what is happening

That's my issue. Even if you can compartmentalize the book from the show, the show is doing a horrible job at telling it's story and you almost need book knowledge to keep up.... And even then it's confusing.

I'm in 3: different groups that watch this show, and everybody is pissed...


he's a Taltos. Different species entirely. Not sure if that's the direction the show goes... But in the books, Taltos blood smells sour to vampires. Even though they're way stronger than Taltos... They just have no interest in them because to them, they stink.

Lasher is also trying to make another Taltos. In the books they grow into adulthood within minutes. This show is making it days or weeks...I know Rowan can birth one without dying.. But no other woman can in the books.... Lasher killed mad women trying to make another.... And Mona finally birthed one... But she almost died... Lestat saved her by making her a vampire.. Then you never hear from her again.

It was dumb in the books... Most readers hated it, I'm sure the show will change it as Mona was already changed into multiple characters...

Basically this show is all over the place and the source material isn't much help either
