Video Beanie Sigel Speaks On If Jay-Z Held Him Back

I think 50 would've been able to keep him "in line" per say.....I think he would've been able to relate and respect 50 a lot more than he did Jay and Dame....just from them both being from the streets...50's word of wisdom might've held more weight to him...but it's a strong might cuz Beans was just a loose cannon back then anyway

50 also might've put more effort into making a hit record with Beans than Jay too....they really put the onus on him and he just couldn't deliver...

I doubt it. 50 didn't have that og vibe the Jay gives off.

50 back in 06 was on a war time image to sell records... Beans dumb ass really would have been trying to shoot ja and irv

Naw Jay did a lot to put him in that position.

The do it again record was a lay up..
What we do is wrong was a lay up..
Roc the mic was a lay up..

The tracks were there. Beans couldn't follow thru due to his legal troubles.

Kanye absolutely BLESSED him with some early tracks. I can only blame beans for not maintaining that relationship.

I really think that Nas line went to his head. And that " if my life was a movie sigel would be the sequel" line messed him up. He felt entitled like no matter what he did he would be next

Peedi the other one.

That track with Neyo
The track with Free
One for peedi

That nigga would have been Meek before Meek

to be fair, id say do it again was the only lay up

i cant see them anticipating what we do (it ain't even got a hook)and roc the mic becoming what they became... they were street singles that became hits by happenstance... cant call them layups (to me!)

Beans my favorite rapper of all time.

I don't think that there's ever been an album that was played more by me than B. Coming.

I used to have this shit in the background when chicks came over. Prolly blew my chance at a couple chicks cuz I started rapping beans versus at the wrong time... Said all that to say this.

Homie fumbled that bad.. Can't blame nobody for mismanaging that situation but himself. Dude was in a great position to do much more with his life, and expected it to to be just given to him.

Can't feel sorry for him or blame Jay

The B. Coming I'd say was a Top 5 album released through Roc-A-Fella Records without exaggeration

beans best work is Public enemy #1!

but i enjoyed all his albums lol... i was a state property super stan smh... a philly hip hop fan too. they the best hip hop city pound for pound artist for artist

I was in Philly in college when Roc the mic came out....

That shit was obnoxious how big it was then. With AI and the sixers being hot then... It was a easy it. Niggaz wasn't even from Philly saying shit like "early"

Agreed Jay did a lot....but they also were trying to "soften" him up to appeal to the masses....I think 50 would've given him the same type of help he gave Game when he came to G-unit....actual hit songs....Do it again was Jay's song...What we do was Freeway's song....Roc the mic might have been the only organic hit he came up with that appealed to all of the masses....I think 50 would given him more of those.

i mean... he could have been larger i guess... but the man had a hell of a run with non commercial street music

held back how and when? he was very successful!

He woulda mix taped him and g-unit collabo'd him to death

Probably becuz of Beans and his work ethic....not because of his actual talent...50 would've at least given him one hit that he'd would've used for himself(ala Game) and a shot at commercial stardom and success....after that if Beans fucked it up......yeah mixtapes and guest spots for you moving forward lol
