My job is filled with people here on H1B visas. When we got bought out by a UK company a lot of Americans in finance left and they replaced them with people from all over the world, mainly South America.
I’m cool with most of them but you got to basically conform to their ways to get along cause they all in leadership positions. It’s not all bad but you feel like you not even in an American company anymore.
They mad arrogant and definitely look down on Americans cause we actually value work life balance. These people come from countries nowhere near as nice as the US so they work their assess off to not go back and expect you to do the same.
That’s why I got up out of finance and moved back to accounting where everybody still American. Foreigners can’t do US accounting so I don’t have to worry about my job being taken by one of them.
