I have my PMP and Scrum Master certs. I'm going to start studying for a cloud cert.

My goal is I want to eventually to move over to fully into IT Project/Program Management.

I am gonna start small and go for the A+ and then go for a cloud cert probably azure and then try for a help desk job and work from there

I self study. I can share with you the strategy I did.

I passed them both on first try (technically) but it's a grind bro. You got a lock in. CompTIA +A has two parts btw

Please do share. I’m watching a YouTube video and it helps and I write notes but I’m still struggling to study as much as I should

Didn't I tell y'all to skip the A+?

Some people like working harder and not smarter. Think about how much time you have in a day. Think about how much energy you have after your 8 hour shift. Now, think about your return on investment by getting A+.

The only CompTIA certs the private sector cares about are Network+ and Security+.

The reason why you skip A+ because you learn the same shit in Network+. You can get the CCNA too but that's harder.

If you get the A+, you are studying for two exams that doesn't progress your career and that time you spent studying for A+, you could've picked up Network+ and Security+.

You only really need Network+ and Security+ to get on the help desk.

Remember, you want to pick your destiny, not move based on HR filters. Certifications cost too much time and money.

Security+, Red Hat, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, PMP, AWS, Azure and Google Cloud is what you spend your time on. You want to get to those fast and early in your career because the higher you climb up the ladder, you not gonna wanna play the certification game.
