@Inori the Google streamer arrived.... It's hard to judge as it's missing a lot of major services over here, we will see how that plays out going forward

you got NordVPN?

And if you install the downloader app you should be able to get some of the apps youre looking for if its not in the play store cuz of your region

It's missing the BBC, that's the most popular UK based channel lol if it doesn't get that it won't survive..

I'm going to do the VPN to see what else it's missing

Lol yeah it's insulting how more apps are integrated into the product in the states, they still haven't got the BBC but it appears as coming soon

Any of yall have a mesh network at home?

I have the older version of the google wifi joints.. was looking to maybe upgrading to the Nest Wifi Pro soon but wanted to see if yall were familiar with some of the other options out there.

Main thing im looking for is is range and signal penetration. Right now I have about 5 pucks/access points across the entire home that seems to work alright but could always be better. I dont even think my one has the 5G band which is why Im well overdue for an upgrade

I have a standard UK provider mesh. I have the exact same problem it works ok but it could be a lot better. I think I might upgrade to the nest pro just easier as my house is mainly Google products.

Asus and TP link deco is worth looking at though

Yeah I think ima go with the Nest Wifi Pro.. especially since I have the older pucks... the nest pro is backwards compatible so if theres an issue where I need more range I can use one of the older ones to extend the signal. It wont be as fast as the new joint but its good enough

Yes. 5? You got a mansion? Lol

I helped setup family that has a mesh. They have 3 Linksys I think

I know a lot of apartments do the mesh system now so you can walk around the entire place and have wifi

O snap forgot I got the Google pro WiFi.

It's fast I'm having no dead spots. HOWEVER!!!! I have a lot of smart devices in my house and I had To update each of them manually and in some cases factory reset them just so I can add the new WiFi details.

The smart devices I have that were created by Google has to be updated manually it's ridiculous

Did you change the wifi name or somethin?

Yeah because I went from BT (UK mesh) to nest Pro . Was a nightmare I called Google and asked if I can change the details in the Google home app for the thermostat and other products and this guy said no factory reset all the devices. Lmao I found another way to do it but it was still a long process

damnit @Blue_London I was mistaken... the older pucks dont work with the Nest Wifi Pro. Shit aint compatible. The good thing though is that the three new joints cover all of the areas that I needed the 5 older ones for

Aside from the smart devices, I have been happy with mine; there have been no drops in network .I should have gotten this a long time ago.

I am keeping this forever there's no way I'm updating all my smart devices again

Employee productivity monitoring just took a leap forward.

Pretty sure nothing bad will come from this.
