First he said that Jay and Puff been best buddies since 1984 when they were like 14 or 15 years old.

Bullshit.

Then he claimed that Jay-Z is now acting like he never knew Puff.

Jay-Z isn’t acting like he never knew Puff.

Jay’s lawyer released a statement indicating that their “friendship” isn’t necessarily what the public’s perception is….

..In essence, distancing his client from Puff (as an attorney should do).

ok if elzo is putting more on it cool, but a lot of people online and even on this sub are acting like they werent ever friends since the lawyer statement came out. for me thats BS that made me make a post. Cuase if maybe a year or two before ANY nasty shit about puff came out and somebody posed the question

That would fly if Jay wasn't on the record talking about how he's worked with Puff. Things like him saying Puff helped EP the American Gangster album among other things. I don't think Jay is on the same time Puff was on at all but he's a fool to think that people will believe him and Puff were just passing by on some "wassup" shit.

Given that Jay seems to have kept the same close friends around him for years it's not unlikely that him and Puff were like work friends in reality...but the public perception they both created can easily make you think otherwise

Based on most the images shown in this thread it’s looking like that is true.
