To each his own and I don't even care for 5 Guys but it's a much better option then any burger Checkers has.

I'm not sure about other places, but in the DC area, there are a lot of small burger shops/franchises that are more expensive but have much better food. I like those better.
If we're talking big franchises that everyone knows about. I'd put Red Robin over Five Guys. To me Checkers is a tossup with Wendy's, McDonald's, Burger King, and Hardees/Carl Jr. I'd put In&Out and Habit Burger over all of them

Over Checkers? Habit is far better. Smashburger is far better. Dare I say it...even Wendy's is better.

Actually I think I bought some fries around Halloween
But from 2018/ 19 to now I really have not ate from Checkers. Even around Halloween I was thinking “wow I have not had Checkers in years, probably before Covid or longer”
