FEATURED NBA Ratings Drastically Down This Year, Every Other Sports League Ratings Is Up

test
And folks would care more about them.. If they wer still in Seattle playing for a franchise w/ history and a recognizable color scheme for a city that actually matters in the sports world at an national level…
Stop gassing up Seattle

That's the first thing. Cleveland has just as much NBA history and notable players

Y'all talking about get rid of teams but the NBA is talking about expanding.

The NBA is a business and doesn't care about the product, they care about the bottom line.

There isn't another entity out there that can offer cable networks 1mil viewers like 80 times a year. That means even if the NBA views drop down to a mil, the next contract in 12 years will be even higher because at that point who else is gonna give TNT/ESPN/CBS a mil viewers on a random Tuesday in February?

So don't expect any changes any time soon.

Either love it or leave it alone.

Also a lot of y'all sound old.

"I'll watch the NBA if it goes back to the NBA from my childhood"

Funny enough it's what these 15 year olds that have Bron as GOAT are gonna say when they're in their 30s.

Shits a cycle.
I'm not saying get rid of 3s but there was a time when you actually had role players. You had specialists that served as role players but it didn't feel like you had more than one person that did the same thing.

Everyone should not be prioritizing the 3pt shot. That's my only issue with this current iteration. Like Kat is Kat. But I don't expect every 7ft nigga to be launching 3s.

Even with expansion relocation should be in play for a couple of teams namely new Orleans, Detroit.

I agree with you from the perspective of that would make the game more pleasing but if all the teams believe everyone shooting 3s is gonna give them the highest chance to win, then that's what their gonna do.

That's the other issue.

Teams aren't designed to play fun basketball, they're designed to play winning basketball.

Right now throwing up threes is the best way teams believe they can win, and in no way can anyone tell a team to do anything other than what think will get them wins.

For sure.

Nothing should stop the NBA from assessing teams and making changes if a team is bringing the product down.

Starbucks closes franchises down all the time if they aren't up to par

I like Joe Tsai and them taking a stand. Y'all trying to win basketball games with your best player not scoring.

They always call game changers crazy at first.
Nah this shit fucked up the game at all levels.. basketball always had a multitude of strategies and tactics but the geeks took over

Another important factor to me is that the NBA in general has an outdated presentation. All of the analysts and media are old. Some made a big deal about a woman being an analysts, yet we should be asking for more youthful perspectives within the presentation. Even people in their 30s would be a change as I swear all the NBA media are 50 and up.
