while he clearly defeated ja rule did he beat him in a battle in the hip hop sense?

thats debatable.... back down didn't even have to come out the damage was done and ongoing. and it was unremarkable in its own respect

You can make an argument 50 never really lost a battle but he only clearly won one and that was Ja. Everything else was kinda inconsequential in my eyes. Everything with Joe, Jada & all them felt forgettable to me. The shit with Ross was more memes and the internet having a field day than anything substantial on wax. By that point 50 was done as a top tier rapper anyways.
