That's a wonderful decision by Ratcliffe.
However, how tf did he/INEOS not know that both parties had disparate visions. Everyone knew he's pally with Southgate. Wtf.
Like did these mfs really did not talk before trying to acquire Ashworth and neither afterwards cause of fear of ligitation from Newcastle?.
Then again, I remember Ratcliffe talking about wanting a English identity in the club, obviously not to the extent Ashworth wanted it to be.
This has to have been a case of lack of communication during those gardening leave months. This shows why the "INEOS curse" exists.
On a positive note it show Ratcliffe isn't one for the sunk-cost fallacy. So I'm expecting a similar approach to the football squad too.
