That's what you got from that? I don't know. Russ was a vet when he went to Denver. He didn't need a mentor. He just needed the right fit. The problem is that he went into that situation as a diva and it crashed and burned. If he had gone to Pittsburgh after Seattle, he probably would have flamed out there too. I honestly believe he did need to be humbled. Sometimes stars do get too full of themselves. They have to be brought back to earth to thrive.

Vick was an extreme example of that. He looked good for a while under Andy Reid, but that wouldn't have been the case if he was the same guy as he was in ATL.
lol mentor coach leader OG whatever u wanna call it

I feel like Sean Payton was trying to hard to son him to prove a point which also led to his teammates trying to son him which is why he failed in Denver

The black man took him in and showed him love and respect and now it’s

I think we agree. I'm just saying I didn't think he would have been as receptive to Tomlin's guidance when he still has his head up his ass.

People forget that Russ got a big head after he won the Super Bowl.

He wanted to do things his way in Seattle towards the end. He wanted to do this his way in Denver.

He isn't a QB that can throw all over the field because he can't see over the line.

Sean Payton's system relies on quick, precision reads. Russ is a play action vertical passing quarterback.

I'ma push back for a post or two

It was heavily and I do mean heavily rumored that Payton wanted to deal for Wilson before he stopped coaching in Nola cause he felt him and Brees had similar skillsets to the point they could run the same offense and have similar success

I think it's really a case of buyers remorse. Once Wilson landed in Denver, he wasn't what Payton thought he was gonna be and instantly regretted it

Could've handled it a different way cause I think Wilson was more used to the coaching style of Carroll but I think it was more of a personality fit over anything else

I'm telling ya'll. A lot of it was personality. Remember Payton was annoyed with Russ before they played a single game over the fact that Russ wanted his own trainer and wanted a bunch of concessions specifically for him.

I don't know how Sean Payton thought Russ had similar skillets.

Russ isn't the point guard style of QB that dissects defenses with smart reads and keeps an offense on schedule. Brees did that better than anyone in the league.

Russ had problems with Carroll because Carroll didn't let him take control of the offense because Russ didn't have that skill set.

Russ holds on to the ball and looks for home run because he can't read the field as well as the top echelon of quarterbacks and has relatively poor timing.

I don't think it has to do with coaching style, Russ just ain't that good and he got tired of Carroll saying he can't run a well oiled offense. Then he went to Sean Payton and Sean Payton said he can't read the field.

Now he for sure knows his limitations and he gets to do easy peasy shit.

Starting to feel like we are always on the verge of something happening that never happens

We are on the verge of a alien invasion
We are on the verge of war
We are on the verge of the nba realizing people don’t like it anymore
We are on the verge of Trump ruining America for the people that love him

Always on the verge, never over the edge
