no mass appeal could have redirected the legacy and career of Gangstarr... its damn near their calling card. they have a visual logo, and mass appeal is their audio logo. considering premiers standing, that's big business


you remove street dreams off nas' album and its the exact same album... it aint a bad song or beat , but its effectively filler.

then you can add that theres a much bigger and much better song with a much better version of essentially the same beat out there
 
Street dreams is a better beat in a technical sense honestly

mass appeal is so iconic and the peak essence of hiphop which is why ppl going to vote it

I'm just looking at it from a sonic standpoint. Which one sounds better. The history behind the records is irrelevant to me.
