That's less than a million. In 1995 there were 33.6m Black people in this country so you're talking less than 3% of the Black population in America at the time. And, because we know the demographics of the average internet user of the day, that number would largely comprise of Black people of means, mostly single, upwardly mobile, middle to upper middle class. Whether you want to admit it or not, that would include your family: middle to upper middle class.
In other words, the shit wasn't common among Black folks in even the slightest degree.

No, I exalt Blackness all the time, I was raised in the Black Power movement of the 70's. This is just something documented and provable.
