Good or Bad: Kids Under 16 Needs Parent Approval To Access Social Media

It's only crazy until you realize that's not how it was done up until about 07-08 during the height of Myspace. And even then, that was done on a home PC. I'd say it wasn't really a big thing until IG first hit Android in 2012, and even then it took a minute for niggas to start getting into DM's.
Niggas been in the dm's since AOL, icq, MSN messenger. What are you talking about?

And back inna day ICQ, AOL, and MSN wasn't vastly widespread like IG is now. Gotta remember, at one point in the 00's, Myspace was getting more traffic than anything in the world.

I'm ok with it, but unfortunately it's usually the parents of these children that need better media literacy and self control. These kids are growing up with the technology, but many adults are ODing on the access to media that wasn't available when they were growing up; I'm more concerned about the adults than their children, because the adults have a false sense of knowledge and common sense, leading to them being dupped by misinformation more often than the children.

Unlike the children, these adults, especially the baby boomers, all swear they know what they are talking about, yet watch nothing but mainstream media or follow social media for information.

At which point are you referring to?

By the time I was in high school, almost every person I know had one

This was between 97-01
97-01 more people had Playstations and N64's than a PC in the home by far, especially in Black communities.
