3 # 1 albums and a top 5 song of the year>>>>>>> 2 top 5 songs of the year, no album

An amazing stat, yes.

But we know not all things are equal because if Jack Harlow, Logic or even a Rod Wave pulled that off we would never in a million years say they were rapper of the year just off the stats alone.

There are a few immeasurables that would have to go along with such a title. Future’s stats didn’t outweigh Kendrick’s immeasurables this year.

Because if that were the case you’d have to automatically say Future was rapper of the year in 2017 too with FUTURE/HNDRXX

Terrible idea... It's brave yes, but hella risky and gives Kendrick + his team at pgLang even more ammo to respond and step-on, on the slightest misstep

Drake would need to be in rare form from start to finish. And with all that's going on, I don't think he's fully focused on releasing an impeccable body of work. He needs to ghost for at least a year with his production team for it. I am not convinced that he can pull it off, plus he and PND are supposedly dropping very soon on top of that

Plus he doesn't see the value in shutting the fuck up and moving in silence. Kendrick got the entire rap game in the palm of his hand with 4 tweets and posts on IG

But what the fuck do I know, right? Lol

He would need a rollout on the level of Tyler's if not better, because he would have to grab attention away from the superbowl. That's not easy.

But let's say he got the attention, Drake would need to drop "that" album. That fire album he never ever drops, but we all know he is capable of. That's the only way I see a gamble like this being effective.

Why use white rappers? Lol

If any top tier rapper did this i don't think it'll be up for discussion

I was just thinking of names of artists capable of possibly getting multiple #1 projects in a year that we would never say is the rapper of the year (previously or currently).

I did mention Rod Wave too though.
