OUT NOW Dragon Age: The Veilguard

Added to Calendar: 10-31-24

Never played the series before but are the stories connected? Can I just jump in and start playing without having knowledge about the other games?

Nerds are complaining that the new game is made in a way where it's easy for new players to jump in and pick it up instead of making the same exact game for the 4th time and having all the choices you made in the 3 games pop up in this game.

So I would say if you like what you see from the trailer it's probably good to get regardless if you played the other games or not

Dragon Age is not for everyone though.

It's a story driven RPG but what makes the game good is you have your companions and some NPCs that help you and after each mission you go and talk to them and get their perspective on what happened. And depending on how you handled the mission you make some of them happy and piss some of them off.

And when you out doing your mission, it's usually your character and 3 companions you pick and then they have banter with each other while you walking around and some of them get along with each other and others hate each other. And you do your missions while listening to their banter.

All that while it's still an action filled game where you going and killing mfers and getting levels and building up your character.

To me it's a dope franchise and I'm gon be playing the games regardless of if the newest releases are the best or there is a fall off. Im already invested in the world and the story so it's whatever

I’m holding off on this due to

1. I’m juggling way too many games now

2. I was going to use this to satisfy my mass effect fix but I think that’s the wrong thinking to have

I’ve played since Origins and I’ve played all in the series and to me the 2nd one was the most repetitive all the nerd want tho is Dragon age origins remake that looks like Baldurs Gate 3. Even though it’s been sort of an action rpg since 2. Companion and the story are my main things and becoming a beast no matter the class
