Suprised by the votes. I'm pretty sure yall would vote classic for more 80s albums than 2000s albums.

There were 100's of 'great' even if not classic albums in the 2000s, though 2000s still had classics...

There maybe more classic albums in the 80s but the sheer quantity of 'great' albums in the 2000s is undeniable...

You're taking 3 classics and 50 good albums over 10 classics and 20 good albums?

Without checking what was released in the 80s and 2000s, off the top I know 2000s had mad classics aswell as tooooons of great albums...

80s had classics from G Rap, Kane, Eric B/Rakim, Slick Rick etc but 2000s had ridiculous amounts of heat and the variety too, from West/East/South/Mid West etc the quantity was crazy...

If I had to choose which decade to listen to for the rest of my life, I would choose 2000s...

The second half of the 2000s was kinda lame

From 06 onwards was mostly forgettable. Correct me if I'm wrong.
Tbh you could say the late 80s rap was kinda lame too. That's why it was an easy sweep for me to say 2000s. But ofcourse if you grew up in that era it might hit harder to you.

Think what gives the 80s that acclaim are the years 87-89...Earlier there really isnt much of that consistent dope shyt. I can narrow down the 2000s to 2k to like 06 and thats when shyt started to reach new lows...But those first 5 years got me picking the 2000s

The 2000’s as a whole is better but it ended kinda lame after the peak right around summer of 2004. With the exception of some runs by Kanye and Wayne the second half of the decade was a harbinger of shitty things to come.
