Its not hate, I can appreciate his contribution to music... I just dont really like his music that much and dont get him being placed next to MJ or mentioned next to greats Marvin Gaye, Stevie and Ray etc
Think it was because they didnt like eachother and were of a similar age and egos...
Ive heard some funny stories, think it was Mike Tyson that said that MJ knew Prince was drunk at show and not in a state to preform... MJ was called on stage to do some Moonwalking by James Brown, then MJ deliberately got Prince on stage too, to own him... Proper cold move by MJ haha
Then Mike talked about Prince trying to run over MJ!!! wtf
Also I watch the documentary where Quincy was arranging the 'We Are The World' song... He got all the stars of the day to join up after an awards show and they worked into the early hours of the morning, MJ and everyone showed up but Prince didnt come because MJ was there or something...

If you was 20 to 35 in the 80s, you was listening to street music, back when RnB was the predominant music of the streets, you listened to Prince, Rick James, Cameo, MTume and The Time.
