South African controversy about Nigerian beauty pageant contestant

Shit seemed rigged. I think they gave her the crown to really rub it in SA face. I'm not mad at it tho, makes them look more goofy

Bro, I'm not going to take some Twitter comments and judge South Africans on this. If I were to do that then I'd have to take dumb ass fba's as the opinion of all African-Americans and ignorant yardies online as the opinion of all Jamaicans.....with that said.

This shit is a bad look. Fucking bad.

Like cave bitches and Asians win this competition all the time and they're tripping over someone born and raised there that's Black, as an issue.

I don't really see how that latest turn of events makes the South Africans look bad. If anything, it kinda proves them right. If there beef with the chick was that she's Nigerian not South African, her becoming Miss Nigeria is in-line with what they were saying.

Wow man. Worst post of the thread by far.

She was born and raised in South Africa. But her pops is from Nigeria, and initially that was the sole issue. We don't even know if she had been to Nigeria before this. She's only Nigerian by ancestry. Where she was born and raised should count for more.

I don't care about the specifics. Some people are saying that her becoming Miss Nigeria somehow showed the South Africans how bad they are. My point was that the South Africans made a fuss because they considered her to be Nigerian. Her becoming Miss Nigeria will only reinforce what they already believe whether they were right to believe that or not.

They need to be shamed. Fuck em.

Maybe those of the diaspora look at each other a little different because we can't trace our lineage like those from the motherland.
So although some may try we still look at each other as family for the most part.

These niggaz still on the continent are on some other shit though.
Black ain't black to some it seems.
