Is Kamala Harris The Best Candidate For Black People?

Her record as a prosecutor is being misinterpreted by people who don't understand the job of a prosecutor

In theory, maybe... but we come to that conclusion because we feel we have nothing to lose.

If you're trying to replace us then fuck it will make it easy for you...but as we see the Democrats are barely keeping their heads above water today. What if they came out in full support of reparation a year ago, do you think they'd be in the BAD shape they're in right now? If they had come out saying we're going to do right by black Americans they wouldn't be fearing Trump right now

The Democrats want to keep us at the bottom of the economic totem pole and have our full support at the same time and we're tired of it

You play to win not be right the fuck….Kamala Harris and the Dems have vulnerabilities that can be leveraged into concessions which all the other groups were lined up to take advantage of via their PACs but here we are giving or not votes away for piss. Nah. That's some mealy mouth type shit. Her not specifically going after possession cases doesn't mean she was good in that area.

Check out this Vox article.

They actually try to be fair and give an account of the good and bad she did. Even in that account they have to admit things like this:

For example, Harris’s office fought to release fewer prisoners, even after the US Supreme Court found that overcrowding in California prisons was so bad that it amounted to unconstitutional cruel and unusual punishment. At one point, her lawyers argued that the state couldn’t release some prisoners because it would deplete its pool for prison labor — but Harris quickly clarified that she was not aware her office was going with that argument until it was reported by media.

There's no way in hell I could vote for a person that made that kind of argument to keep people (mostly black) in jail for minor offenses, and I don't believe she didn't know they were going to make that argument.

Then there's this:

In one case, her office argued against Daniel Larsen, who was proven innocent by the Innocence Project, because, Harris’s office claimed, he filed his petition for release far too late after a legal deadline. The court disagreed, allowing Larsen’s release in 2013.

Again, there's no fucking way I could vote for a black woman who fought to keep an innocent black man in jail on the grounds that he filed his petition too late. What? Do you know how far on the wrong side a prosecutor has to be for the court to be like "You buggin'. This nigga ain't supposed to be in jail."

It was a murder case and not a drug conviction which is what I posted and as a Prosecutor she did the job of a Prosecutor but relied on the evidence brought forth that was misleading by the police who gathered the evidence.
