Every time I hear them mention that shit I get pissed. They were rolling over in their graves when it was Arya that saved the day and their ā€œPrince that was promisedā€ exiled himself to live amongst fucking wildlings, smh.

All this fighting to make sure a Targaryen sat the throne for the long night and the shit never came to pass.
I'm hoping Martin fixes that. The buildup was too much for it to end the way it did

The prince that was promised wasn't, rather isnā€™t, about a Targaryen sitting the throne for the long night but rather preventing the long night to begin with.

Yall in here misreading a song of Ice and & Fire. Aegon the Conconquer, Jaehaerys, Rhaenerya, Rhaegar, and AeJon STargaryen the only ones that seem to understand this mission.

The throne is second true antagonist of the series but like the small folk of the realm yall blinded by petty squabbles

Still donā€™t matter tho

What that old white lady thought this was. Aemond the Conqueror not to be messed with.

@Chicity @TTBF @shutupGabi how many more packs we're going to be smoking on from your side
Yall needed a W, can't front

I'll give yall Coochie face Cole and Aemond the Kin/King slayer (he wearing that until it's proving false). The rest of ya squad weak af

We needed a W, we've been collecting them from the start
I guess this where you pretend the first 3 episodes didn't happen, cool

Yall got one yall needed and still managed to fuck up and throw yall council in disarray. Had Aegon The Usurper not been there it might have been a better victory but yall fucked that up and can't even capitalize on the moment

The only loss was a beheaded infant

Nah, the whole point was for a Targaryen to unite the 7 kingdoms in a fight against the long night. Jon Snow tried but he ainā€™t really unite the 7 kingdoms. There was still chaos and Kings Landing ainā€™t even send anybody to help.

It was basically the North and Danny versus the White Walkers. So what was the point?

The Song of Ice and Fire could have just been we need to make sure some dragons/riders and the Starks are around when the shit pop off.

Well canā€™t forget Riverlands and the Vale.

The title in song implies you only needed some Starks and Dragons.....

We reading the tea leaves differently. You see it uniting the realm for the long night whereas I see it as preventing the realm from experiencing long night

As you saw, they ended up winning by focusing on the latter point I made vs the former point you made

Weā€™re off to battle again, old girl.

They do

Danerys was a special exception involving magic
IIRC in the book her hair was burnt but she wasn't harmed in fires. The show decided to just make her fully immune. Wonder if that's because it'd be frustrating to deal with the hair growth in makeup

I can't remember if it was ever mentioned why she was different besides guesses that she was the princess that was promised. Did they say it was magic?
