The scenario has stayed the same for me. Hiphop is bad for our community and has been for a long time.

I disagree that movies and music are on par with each other when it comes to influence. The issue of you never acknowledging the bad of it and what rap is now.

I have plenty of times. You just want it worded and said in a way that only agrees with your pov or else you refuse to acknowledge it. That's your problem not mine. You're entitled to view it your way. The way you've presented it before is wrong...but you're entitled to that.

I can’t see the west hitting overprotective mode because niggas thinks yall sweet now

I seen you make a thread about the influence of red pill guys and what they do to the youth only for you to say rap does not do that and compare to other genres. When in reality the spoken word under the guise of being authentic is the most powerful tool on earth.


We have watch rap influence folks to not rock with Ja Rule, had folks picking sides on rap beef. The push of drug use and gang culture spread because of rap.


I can give you the example of lean from Houston and how it had other regions drinking it. Rap pushed that because before that it wasn’t popular everywhere

Would be interesting tho. Snoop said west coast noggas don’t view crips and bloods outside Cali as always legit. If Game was killed in ATL by some ATL bloods that woulda been crazy.

I have never once said rap doesn't influence the youth. I said rap doesn't influence everyone to the degree you think it does because it did it to you. The things you're mentioning also spread because of things that had absolutely nothing to do with rap music. You want to blame rap music for all the ills of Black people and that's just such a faulty premise it's laughable.
 
It would be nice if Dwane and freeman acted like rap is the bringer of all violence. Like are we gonna discuss why black oeople live in bad areas in the first place? Why the schools bad why the money ain’t in every pocket?

All black folks don’t live in bad environments. And the ones that do, are for the most part normal everyday good people. You know that.

I just like to speak on the bad influences that our own people do. From grifters to conscience rappers that only rap about black issues instead of doing tangible things to help with them. MF through a Juneteenth concert and some of the songs are negative as fuck. Ass backwards shit.

JayZ acting like he’s doing something good for the schools in Philly but after you peel back the layers it’s meh

One rep Brooklyn which is turning into a white mans haven and the Compton kicking all the black folks out.

Nip even though he was a crip (spoke about it as something that’s not good) still was trying to bring opportunity to neighborhood more than a few ways with educational programs.

These folks are worth 7-8 figures and trying to be relatable is sometimes a slap in the face to us. I just hate the pretend part of it.
