The thing about Eminem that’s so funny is that he had talent in his prime but it got overblown when white people who didn’t care about rap music jumped into the mix. Eminem rapped about his personal problems and what he went through, it led to people hyping him up and loving his music. Which is fine, but they don’t take rap music in totality and judge it properly.

What you found out was, the majority of white people don’t see our plight as black men and take it super seriously. They just see us as other. Plenty of rappers who were skilled like Eminem rapped. He isn’t lyrically brilliant, he’s technically talented. There is a difference. Yet those technically talented rappers never get even an iota of recognition like he did. If Eminem can go diamond then someone like NaS, AZ, Black Thought or Lupe should at least go five times platinum. They don’t. It’s cuz black rappers that usually sell have to be these rappers that are like super Negroes like 50 Cent, super cheesy eclectic. They just can’t sell off of being able to rhyme. Which always tripped me out about Eminem.

He can be cheesy to black people but super cool to white people but what’s the coolness? Cuz he wore du rags? Is it cuz he spoke for them? It is what it is.

What a terrible discography I liked about 4 songs ever from Em. I just don't get the hype about homie can he rap yep is the music he makes good to me nope
