He popping his shit as he supposed to as the biggest guy in rap. lol Folks should stop giving his songs spins if they truly feel disgusted but all these same people still be in all the new Drake album drop threads showing they still listening regardless...I can understand his female fan base holding him down but these hip hop wizards still giving the man spins while crying about him not being authentic. Shits funny.

Talent wise drake still cool with me. I just can’t seriously put him alongside folks like Kendrick, cole or whoever. The more these reference tracks come out the more I look at him like Dre, Kanye and Diddy. But whatever floats your boat 🤷🏽‍♂️

He not in my top lyricist discussion either but I wouldn't label him a Dre or Diddy. I'll even go as far as saying the reference track records always sound different then most Drake records, I def think he got a pen game when he on his typical Drake flow and cadence but these records like Mob Ties and Running Thru The 6 don't sound like most of his other stuff so you def can tell its somebody else.

I wouldn't be surprised if guys like Jay and them have had records with heavy input sprinkled through out their career.

Yeah. Because Drake is a Pop star, and Pop stars usually have writers. When he struggled during the freestyle and the rumors came out that he had that one particular ghost writer, it didn't hurt him, only the hip Hop purists cared.

My point is, anyone that gave him a pass then shouldn't be criticizing or even investigating ghost writing claims now. If you wrote Drake off when you first learned about his ghost writer (was his name Corey?), then it shouldn't matter to you anyway.

That is what made the whole Meek beef hilarious, because he bodied Meek when Meek should have had all the ammo he needed considering Drake is not a real rap artist as much as he is a crossover pop star. That's like losing to Will Smith in a battle. Today.

That's also why I don't really care about the Kendrick/Drake beef. Either Kendrick sounds like Lil Dicky or vice versa. But beefing with Drake only keeps Drake relevant. The dude is already past his prime; I'm surprised he hasn't returned to acting. I'm starting to wonder if he's really buying into his own gimmick, sort of like when the undercover cop becomes the real crime boss.

If guys like Jay and Em for example, it came out that they got help and tracks leaked I’d look at them the same way I’m looking at drake.

Ignorance is bliss in these cases, we don’t know if Jay or others have help. We do know that Drake does and that’s the problem. Especially cause we know drake can rap. But Drake is a big brand now and he does what big brands do. But getting caught is a problem
