2023/2024 NBA Season Thread

That's all 30 teams now, right?
I had a G League take last week but I tucked it

G League teams don’t make money (I believe they lose it)

I think the best thing for revenue and product would be to contract the the league to 16 teams

15 NBA and 1 league owned team

What this does is makes the league stronger and spreads more talent across the league which makes for a better product

This is exactly what I want for the NBA. You'll see it when I buy the league.

-15 teams
-NBA teams pick 4 players that the other team can’t poach
-2 spots for kids skipping college
-2 spots for vets
-That League owned team is strictly for players trying to get back in the league

(Isaiah Thomas/KZ Okpala/Justin Patton, Grant Riller, Derrick Favors, etc)

Like there shouldn’t be a team in Sioux Falls, South Dakota

It makes for a better product but that isn't the point. The model was never about making money it's about development, and having a US based system teams could pull extra talent from on the fly without issue. 6

Also these teams run the sets their nba counter parts run to get rookies and 2 ways familiar.

It was never meant to look pretty but it has been effective imo.
