ironically was reading the Source magazine review on RD
They gave it 4 mics
 
I think 10 years from some motherfuckers w the keys to the culture will start dickriding Distant Relatives

And ppl will then start acting like it was the greatest thing ever
 
I bought that Kendrick Lamar album off a bootlegger and listened to it once. I thought it was gonna be like GKMC or Damn.

I was disappointed. Maybe I'll give it another spin.
 
Always liked Mr. Morale. It was a different album that dealt with real life issues most MCs don’t got the heart to talk about. I’m sure it resonates more with this very self conscious current generation & if they wanna call it a classic I’m cool with it.

That being said albums like Only Built 4 Cuban Linx, It’s Dark & Hell Is Hot, & Supreme Clientele weren’t considered instant classics when they dropped. Over time tho they aged like fine wine.
