Rappers drop so often now in this fast food era albums cant be a classic because they all sound like one big album...
I lost count of the GxFR albums last few years, whilst they are dope I forget them so quick as the next comes out, then the next one after that...
It was better when rappers dropped once or twice a year imo you could marinate on an album and allow for albums to sound different to the previous one...

There might be an argument to be made for EPMD, but aside from them, there's really not many rappers with a catalog deep enough outside of Too $hort, Common, Jay, Nas, or someone like that.

Id say Nas got 7 Classics if we really gonna talk about it. Hip hop is dead was a movement. I remember when it came out, Every1 was going at him still he stand his ground and sold like 400k first week.
Nas has 3 classics imo. Illmatic, It Was Written and Stillmatic. I don’t count Lost Tapes as a real Nas album, because it’s unreleased tracks from the I Am and Stillmatic recording sessions.
Hov has Reasonable Doubt and Blueprint. I can be talked into The Black Album.
