Agree though that it does come off a little differently being in cartoon form. Premise is the same though, both characterize us in a harsh, negative light.
 
I’ve watched a couple of episodes so far. It definitely has funny parts. Has a lot of cringey parts too though.

The duet with the roach and dad being hype about spam and onion leftovers kind of through me, lol.

It’s primarily due to the bastardization and mockery of the Good Times legacy the first TV show to focus on a nuclear black family unit
